moments

it's the eve before i set out for the drc (democratic republic of the congo) and the butterflies have started. it is finally starting to feel real and tangible. i'm actually going. and i am excited. i have no expectations. but i do have one goal. to live in the moment. (as much as i can anyway.) i don't want to be thinking about what lies behind or to think about what lies ahead, because i could end up missing what is happening in the now. easy to say, i know. and much harder to actually do. but that is my goal – to live in the moment. or rather, in the string of moments. each and every one. one right after the other. over and over again. moments that are amazing and breathtaking and inspiring and challenging and unbelievable. and may those moments join together to form an incredible story that i can share with others along the way.

Hi Kris,

By the time you read this I hope you will be fully into your journey and will have experienced the love of the people and the beautfy of the land. May this be a rich and fulfilling trip. May God do great things through you and in you.

On another note...Scott received a phone call from someone interviewing you for sr art director. His name blipped out and he left an incomplete phone number. We don't even know what firm he was with. If you can give us any info so Scott can call him back, that'd be great.

Thanks and we'll be anxious to read your updates.

Hey buddy, london sounded great, i am seathing, o.k. maybbbe a strong word but I am feeling jealous. I hope you made it to the congo o.k. I spoke to Em Behr at the UR and she was glowing from the experience. She said something interesting tho...she came back with more confusion about the siti\uation than she expected!? Did she make a difference? Anyway, I am with you in spirit. Kevin
